On internet I found English/Portuguese dictionarry. Program translated my text in Portuguese. Now I know it was horrible translation, but at that time I didn't understand a word of portugues.

Eu estou aprendendo portugues assim que eu poderia falar com Maria. É mulhere muito bonita e tem tręs filhas maravilhosos. Em nossa primeira reuniăo scared pouco. Mas agora nós somos amigos e năo está receosa de mim e eu sou muito feliz para este.
Eu devo dizer-lhe algo obout mim: sempre que eu estou lendo seus correios ou writeing o, eu estou escutando para o gor da música I de Portugal do grupo de Portugal. Eu gosto de mais cada vez que eu estou escutando ele.
Eu decidi-me começar a aprender a língua de Portugal. Pode vocę dar-me o conselho como começar. Eu tenho uma idéia Pode vocę escrever-me alguns correios curtos nos englis e no Portugal. Eu sei que será muito engraçada quando eu escreverei as palavras de Portugal e quando eu devo tentar falar, ninguém compreender-me-iam. Mas escutando aquelas cançőes

É vocę surpreendeu sobre minha língua de Portugal. No Internet eu encontrei traduzir o programa chamado SYSTRAN. É fantástico mas há um problema: Eu posso escrever em Portugal mas eu cant falo! Muito engraçado.

Take internet and sometimes it doesn't work well (phones). But if you should tell me something and you have problems with englis just write in Portugal.

Your letter was good but it seems to me that you are talking from Brasil! I will make the necessary changes and than I will send to you. Here is not raining any more. Today is a beautiful day. Very good to go to beach. I didn't finish my work at the appartment. As I told you it is new but full of dust. I'm always ready to move. I'm just waiting the order of the lawyer. If I could I would move today. About fights, I don't fight when I'm with my doughters. I accepted the car and everything else, I just want that divorce comes out. This is a friendly divorce so I'm not fighting too much, first because unfortunatly the law is on his side and second because I don't want to give him the oportunity to delay more things. I'm already beginning to feel that I'm a free woman and I'm enjoing very much this feeling.I'm very tired with all of this. Sometimes I would like to go far away from here. You know, before I got married I said so many times: "I don't want a very rich man, I don't want a very big house or a very expensive car, I just want a man that loves me". At the time I thought that was not ask too much. Today I think that I asked for the impossible. I needed so much to love and to be loved and I think that I failed. Sometimes I blame myself for this situation. I keep asking myself:" where did I fail?" I think I did everything that a woman can do to make her husbend happy, but I failed. Dear janez ,
As usually you are correct. Love is really blind. My fother likes to joke and sometimes he say: " Woman can't see a dog with a trousers that she always think that is the biggest love of her life!" I think in a certain way he is correct. I think it was very good for me this experience. I lerned to much! I learned that life must be lived and I learned that love is the most important feeling in my life. Now I think that I know how to love. A friend of mine told me yesterday:
" Maria , I want to merry with a man with more than 40 years, so that when I come to that age (she has 26) he still loke at me with proud!" I think she is right. I look to youth now and I think they haven't almost nothing to give. Barbara told me one thing that I will never forget: "You must look at the sky, you must see that sun!" I remember this so many times. I wish I could tolk with her again. Dear janez , I want you to now that you have a very good friend here and when you want or need to talk I'm here to listen.About the songs you choose the most sad songs I ever listen. Anyway I will translate some for you.I will wait for your news.

dear Maria
I am so glad about your last mail. if you mean it what you wrote I think you are on theright way to be happy again someday. Your father was right but I would add that sometimesit means for men too. Your 26 year friend had to have also some bad experiances with youngand maybe she is right. I remember my grand parents told me that in old times (100 yearsago) mens married at about 35-40 years old and women 16-22 years old. They had reason. Barbare told you this wonderfull. I like her very much because we colud talk many times about very different things. In uur group we are very happy to Bruno and Barbara, last few month they are new persons, full of life. In mails before I wanted to tell you that you have a lot of life before you. Barbara and Bruno are excelent example for this.What about new apartement. Do you like it, is there enough place, is it in Argoncilhe.Sorry to send you sad songs, I couldn't know. If possible find me some other songs or what ever you choose. You know, in Argoncilhe I tried to read your newspaper. It was a sport (football) and when I read it I understand some words and guess what is writen about. Somewords I can understand because I was leraning French at school. When we were passingFrance I was very surprised when I was talking french and people understood me.Sorry, I have question. Maybe somebody found at school a book in strange (Slovenian) language. Author is Adams Douglas.I must tell you about very CRASY IDEA. I would like to make a travel and turist agency on purpose to send turists (by Igor bus) from Ljubljana to Porto, Espigno, Argoncilhe. I was talking about this with Igor and he said it is not so crasy idea and maybe we shall try nextyear. Maja also said it would be fantastic. But one of very important things is to have people in Portugal which we shall trust and who will trust us in bussines. Of cause we were thinking on YOU beacause we trust you, we like you and also we saw everythinj was perfect under your menaging our staying at school and super comunication between you and me from the first moment. Groups would change after every 10-14 days with the program you prepared for us - without evening performances. Thank you so much for your message. I love it! About your idea, you have to tell me something more about it. Who are the people that may come. What are the objectives of the trip. Tell me everything.
My apartement is near Casa . It is new, has 2 rooms, 2 bathrooms, 1 kitchen and 1 living-room. For now it is very good.This week you sent me an e-mail were you said about our first meeting. You were right. I was a little scared, because I didn't knew what you would think about me. When I went to the bus and I saw so many people looking at me I almost didn't feel my legs! I was so nervous! Than I realise that you were so nice people and I felt so good! I keep saying that I have very good friends in Eslovénia. I'm a very lucky woman!Send my best regards to all.

I am glad you can talk to me about your problems. For me it means we are real friends. During my life I found out that friendship and love becomes at once but it is very hard to keep such opurtinity. I felt you must be very nice person through our emails before we meet in Argoncilhe. At first moment we meet I knew you are a special women and some of my friends told me the same. I'll never forgot : I was in bus and you were in the car. I went out and my friends said : 'go on Janez , she is not beating you' . When I saw you going to me i said to myself "hey, she is a little bit afraid " . I was a little bit afraid too ... BUT .... I found out with no reason.
Dear Maria . About your cousin. Is for you bigger problem your cousine and her familly or your housband? I know you very short time but as I understood your cousine is bigger problem. But because of you you must find out this very soon. You can find a new housband but the relations you can't choose.
About buying your dothers : Just be as you are , love them as you do , give them what you have and beleive me you will do the right think. It is normal that children likes gifts and so on. Your housband will stay their father for ever so it is also his duty to give things to his chlidren and help you to put them through 'tenage' years. Did you find new flat in Argoncilhe. If possible send me your address.
I must tell you something obout me: whenever I am reading your mails or writeing you, I am listening for Portugal music I got from Portugal group. I like it more every time I am listening it. I decided to begin learning Portugal language. Can you give me advice how to start. I have an idea. Can you write me some short mails in englis and portugal. I know it will be very funny when I will write portugal words and when I should try to speak, nobody would understand me. But listening those songs i am reading the text which are with the CD. But I dont understand what I am singing and it doesn't matter. I sent your best regards to Bruno and barbara, they left today on hollidays in Croatia islands.

Dear Janez ,Thank you so much for your support! The problem is not my cousin. I speak with her when I need. Is just that I never thought that a person of my family could do that with me. They hurted me in my proud, my heart... It's seems to me that I wast 12 years of my life loving someone that didn't even respect me. I don't know if one day I will love someone again, but I have to confess that I'm to scared for that.About the portuguese, Why don't we make an exchange. Unfortunatly you are one of many people (women and man) who has such terrible expirance. it's normal and too early to make some finaly decisions of your future life, you are young and beautiful enough to make you new life. But you need time, it will months or maybe years but .... I think I understand about your proud but you must know - if you want you will be winner with your children, without your thistime housband (ex) and without cousin. At once you'll meet somebody and you will know you will not be afraid. But I think you must go out with your friends : for instance you said you will begin to dance again with your folclore. I am sure it will be very good for you. You will meet other people and it is very important. 12 years is very long time but you have much more than 12 years before you!!! I thin you learned some very important things
- love is blind
- the respecting is almost most important think to leave together or to be friends - normaly it must be
phisical atraction / not miss or mister of the who knows what! - there must be a lot together hobbies - you must trust each other - you must know to forgive sometimes but not so long as you did.
Uf, there is a lot important conditions but when I am writeing this for you I am talking to myself also. Sorry, maybe talking too much.
About method of learning I very agree. About this CD I am listening them - is there maybe a dialect from Azores icelands?

One evening

Nek večer, ko smo se vrnili iz nastopa, sva se srečala na stopnicah, jokala je. Nisem vedel, zakaj, samo objel sem jo in rahlo stisnil k sebi. Drgetala je, čeprav ni bilo mrzlo. V nekaj trenutkih se je pomirila in se nasmehnila. »What is wrong, Maria? » sem vprašal. »Nothing sirious, I am just too tired« .

One evening, when we came back from the performance, we met on the stairs. She was crying. I didn't know, why. I just huged her gently. She was shaking, even it was not cold. In few moments she calmed down, she was smiling. »What is wrong, Maria? » I asked. »Nothing sirious, I am just too tired«

Kasneje mi je povedala, da je ravno takrat mož zahteval ločitev, jaz sem bil prva oseba, ki me je srečala po tem. Bila je vesela, da je srečala ravno mene, čeprav tudi sama ni še točno vedela, za kaj prav mene.

Next day, when we met again, she told me that her husband just asked her for divorce. I was first person she met after this news. She was glad that it was me there even she also didn't know exactly, why me.

Neko jutro, ko sem se vračal iz jutranje kavice pri Toniju, sem v gozdu ob cesti nabral rože, nič posebnega. Rekel sem si, da bodo za Mario kot drobna pozornost do nje. Rože sem ji dal v kuhinji, kjer je ravno pripravljala zajtrk za nas. Ko me je videla, si je obrisala roke v predpasnik, vzela rože in se nasmehnila. Ampak, groza, v njenih očeh sem opazil solzico.

One morning I went to take cofee at the corner bar. Comming back, I picked up some flowers. Just to give Maria as a present as she is taking care of us. I came in front of kitchen , she saw me and came out. She took flowers, smiling. But, horrible!, I saw she was crying.

Takoj ob vrnitvi domov sem poslal email s sporočilom, da smo srečno prispeli ter z lepimi pozdravi za vse na Portugalskem.

When we came home, I sent her email telling that we came home with no problems and with best regards to everybody in Portugal.

Vrnitev domov / comming back home

Od doma sem poslal zahvalen email direktorju Casa in z lepimi pozdravi naši Maria, ki je tako lepo skrbela za nas vse dni gostovanja na Portugalskem. Res prijetna ženska! So mi pa kar naprej prihajale v glavo misli o dogajanjih na Portugalskem, o Espinhu, Argonu, Portu in drugih krajih, ki smo jih obiskali, o prijaznosti in domačnosti Portugalcev. Nekako sem se zaljubil v to deželo. Tako v redu, kot ta 2 tedna na Portugalskem, se nisem poèutil še nikjer drugje na svetu. Vendar sem podzavestno nekako že vedel, da mora biti še nekaj, kar me tako vleèe na Portugalsko, čeprav še slutil nisem, kaj se pripravlja in kuha v meni. Ko nekaj èasa ni bilo pošte, sem se pač sprijaznil z mislijo, da je Portugalske konec, da bo ostal en zelo lep spomin. Prav žal mi je bilo. Odvijati so se prièeli razni dogodki, vedno pa se je prikazala slika Maria z njenimi največkrat žalostnimi in zaskrbljenimi očmi.

I sent email to director saying thanks for everything and best regards for Maria, who took care for our group. Realy nice woman! All the time I was remebering how great was in Portugal - Espinho, Argon, Porto and all other places we visited. I fell in love with this country. Those 2 weeks in Portugal I spent the most beautiful days in the world. But, I already new, that it must be something more, something else, why I want to come back to Portugal. I was not sure, what is going on in my mind, in my heart. As I didn't get email for few days, I thought, that it is over with Portugal, with great remembering this 2 weeks. I was sad about this. In my memory I began to see short movies about some happenings there, but at the and there was always Maria with her sad and worried eyes.

Everything began getting a phone call

»Kakšno Portugalsko, mal' več mi povej!?«, sem odgovoril.

Tudo começou com uma chamada que recebi da Katarina.

Dear Mr. president
Mr.Marko asked me if we could go on your festival. I told him that it is interested for us. The only problem could be if we should have at the same time another festival. I am sending you a picture. If you need i can send you also our video as soon you will send me your address. Next year we have 10 years of 'Old timers group', some of our dancers began to dance folklore 50 year ago.
Other details about our group : Till now the group has participated in international festivals in Austria, Italy, Russia, Czech Republic, Germany, Slovenia and Egypt. The group is performing dances from Gorenjska, Koroška, Ribnica, Istria, and Bela Krajina. For each of these districts the group has different costumes. The musical accompaniment is tipical Alpine (accordions, clarinets, violins, and double bass).
As it's very late date for your festival, please send us as soon as possible all details about festival by email and a contract. You'll get our answer in few days.
